Washington Gas Light Company (WGL) files its Accelerated Pipe Replacement Plan (PROJECTpipes 2 Plan)
for Commission Approval (Formal Case No. 1154)

On December 7, 2018, WGL filed a request for approval of its Accelerated Pipe Replacement Plan PROJECTpipes 2 Plan with the Commission. 
 
WGL’s PROJECTpipes 2 Plan covers the period October 1, 2019, through December 31, 2024, and consists of 13 programs, including: eight distribution programs and five transmission programs at an estimated total cost of $305.3 million. 

WGL seeks to recover the cost associated with the PROJECTpipes 2 Plan through a surcharge mechanism. On September 5, 2019, the Commission extended WGL’s PROJECTpipes 1 Plan by an additional six months to March  31, 2020.  The Commission continues to review WGL’s PROJECTpipes 2 Plan.
