Alp Keceli

Alp KeceliMr. Alp Keceli joined the Public Service Commission (Commission) on October 30, 2017, as a Senior Gas Engineer in the Office of Infrastructure and System Planning (OISP), within the Office of Technical and Regulatory Analysis. 

Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Keceli held various private sector positions in the energy utility industry, building consulting and the engineering & consulting. Most recently he enhanced his engineering knowledge and experience working for Washington Gas Light Company under corporate engineering umbrella. His diverse experience includes, transmission and distribution gas pipeline design, pipeline risk assessment, regulator & gate station design, HDD design and pipeline relocation.

Alp is working towards obtaining his Professional Engineer license in the District of Columbia. He received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from B. Ecevit University, Turkey and Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Management and Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Systems Engineering from George Washington University, Washington, DC.

Alp is a member of the American Gas Association (AGA), Gas Technology Institute (GTI) as well as Southern Gas Association (SGA).
