The Commission Announces Christopher Lipscombe as the Interim General Counsel
Christopher (“Chris”) Lipscombe was appointed Interim General Counsel as the result of the nomination and confirmation of Richard Beverly to Commissioner. Chris joined the Commission July 1998 as a Senior Attorney He has served as Legal Case Manager for several Pepco and Washington Gas and Light (WGL) rate cases and successfully represented the Commission in several major cases before the D.C. Court of Appeals.
Before joining the Commission, Mr. Lipscombe served as a Contracting Officer for the D.C. Public Schools and was the first General Counsel for the D.C. Office of Employee Appeals. He started his career with the District Government as Legislative Assistant to the late Councilmember Hilda Howland M. Mason.
